About our rector...

Before being called to be Rector of St. Andrew’s in 2009, The Rev. Catherine Wright (Katie), was Associate Rector of St. Mark’s in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Prior to that she served in Dallas, Texas as Youth Minister at Ascension and Director of Children’s Ministries at Transfiguration.

Katie is married to James (Jimmy) and they have two children- Luke and Rachel. A couple of dogs also seem to be under their care and Rachel was promised a guinea pig along with the move to Ohio. Having been born and raised in the desert of Phoenix, water has an important place in Katie’s life and she enjoys boating, swimming and sitting by the water listening to the world.

Rev. Wright received her BA in Psychology from Claremont McKenna College in California. She worked for Neiman Marcus in the corporate offices before completing her Masters of Divinity studies with an Anglican emphasis at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in 2005.
