Introduction

Welcome to the American Heritage Girls program at St Andrew’s Episcopal Church! As a vibrant community within the category of Community and Society - Faith and Beliefs, we strive to provide a nurturing environment where girls can grow spiritually, develop character, and serve others.

What is American Heritage Girls?

American Heritage Girls (AHG) is a Christ-centered character development program designed for girls aged 5 to 18. It offers a holistic approach to nurturing young girls, focusing on their spiritual, physical, mental, and social well-being. AHG is committed to fostering leadership skills, instilling moral values, and encouraging young girls to make a positive impact in their communities.

Our Mission

At American Heritage Girls, our mission is to build women of integrity through community service, outdoor adventures, and discipleship. We aim to equip girls with life skills and virtues that will guide them throughout their lives, helping them become faithful servant leaders in their families, communities, and faith.

Program Highlights

Character Development

Character development lies at the heart of AHG. Through engaging activities and events, we aim to help girls embrace their unique talents and strengths while developing virtues such as honesty, integrity, respect, and compassion. Our comprehensive program encourages growth in all areas of life and promotes a strong sense of self-worth.

Faith-Based Activities

As part of St Andrew’s Episcopal Church, American Heritage Girls incorporates faith into all aspects of our program. We foster spiritual growth by encouraging girls to explore and deepen their relationship with God. Regular devotionals, scripture memorization, and prayer play an integral role in our activities. We strive to create a nurturing environment where girls can learn about, live out, and share their faith confidently.

Service to Others

Service is a vital component of the American Heritage Girls experience. We believe in the importance of actively making a difference in the world around us. Through various service projects and partnerships with local charities, girls have the opportunity to develop compassion, empathy, and a heart for serving others. Whether it's volunteering at a shelter, organizing a food drive, or supporting community initiatives, AHG encourages girls to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Outdoor Adventures

Outdoor adventures are an exciting part of the American Heritage Girls program. From camping trips and nature hikes to survival skills and team-building activities, we provide girls with opportunities to connect with nature, develop a sense of adventure, and foster a love for the outdoors. Through these experiences, girls gain confidence, learn new skills, and forge lifelong friendships.

Leadership Opportunities

American Heritage Girls offers leadership opportunities for girls who are passionate about making a difference. Our Leadership Development Program equips older girls with valuable skills and experiences, empowering them to take on leadership roles within the organization and in their communities.
